Case Study

Bench is a global fashion clothing brand founded in the UK and now sold worldwide.

A new store was recently opened in the Ashford Designer Outlet and Ansell Lighting were approached by Edmundson Electrical, Enfield, to provide a lighting scheme for their customer Darren Creevy of Premier Shopfitting Contractors Ltd.

Lighting is a crucial element in a retail environment as it can highlight product qualities and create virtual spaces, impacting on how a shopper feels by helping them form opinions of a product, and ultimately influence their choice of whether to select for purchase.

Performance, colour temperature, CRI and energy efficiency were key objectives in lighting the store. These requirements were met with a combination of Unity 4 LED Mains Track Spotlights and the Unity 175 LED Wallwash throughout the store. The Unity 4 LED Track Spotlight has comparable performance to 150W HQI and an anti-glare design to create a visual comfort. In addition to this a 355 degree rotation and 180 degree tilt mechanism provides the flexibility of the light direction required.

The Unity 175 LED Wallwash delivers a comparable performance to 100W HQI with the adjustable tilt angle creating a pleasant, welcoming environment and adds to the visibility and visual impact of the displays on the walls.

On the completion of the store Daniel Creevy expressed his delight,  “we are really pleased with the project design and performance. Premier Shopfitting Contractors have been using Ansell Lighting for more than 10 years as we have the confidence in the reliability and performance of the products”.
